IHLBriefs is written by Artur Hodin, a legal writer and researcher focused on international humanitarian law, armed conflict classification, civilian protection, and the public explanation of complex legal questions.
The project grows out of a simple editorial idea: legal analysis on war should be rigorous enough to be trusted, but clear enough to be read outside narrow specialist circles. The aim is to explain what the law says, where the debates are, and why the legal framing matters in current events.
Artur is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at The Fletcher School at Tufts University. His background includes legal study in international law, work connected to humanitarian institutions, and sustained engagement with the practical and educational side of the law of armed conflict.
